Public band page
A page at bandjams.com/your-band that anyone can visit — built from the music you already have here.
Your address
Every band has a web address of the form bandjams.com/your-band. You choose it as the Band URL when you create the band. It is short enough to put on a poster or in a bio, and it is the same address on a phone or a laptop.
Turning it on
An owner or admin goes to Band Settings → Public Page and turns on Make band public. The switch saves straight away. It also lists your band on Explore.
Until then, a visitor who opens the address gets a "not found" page, and search engines are told not to index it. Members can still open the page. They see a Private preview banner at the top.
Once the band is public, View public page on your dashboard and in the band switcher opens it. Before that, the same spot says Make Public, which takes an owner or admin to the settings.
What actually appears
Your music appears only if you've marked it Public. Making the band public does not publish your catalogue. Songs, recordings, releases, playlists and upcoming shows each need to be set to Public on their own. A song also needs its audio ready to play. Public playlists and releases get their own pages too.
The other blocks show what you put in them. The header uses your band profile, the photos are the ones you pick from the gallery, and the members block lists every active member.
Filter each list by Public to see exactly what a visitor will find. How the three levels work is covered in Visibility.
Blocks
The page is built from blocks, and each one appears once. On the Blocks tab, drag a block to move it, and use its switch to show or hide it. Blocks with a gear have their own settings, such as what goes in the tape deck or how photos are laid out.

Themes
On the Theme tab, start from a preset: Classic, Neon Night, Tape, Zine, Haze. A preset sets the font, surface and backdrop and keeps your colours and music. Every setting stays yours to change afterwards.

Band cover photo uses the cover from Band Profile, so upload one there first. Visitors can switch the live visualizer off.
There is no raw HTML or CSS to edit, by design. Presets plus a handful of controls means the page keeps working on every screen size and stays readable, rather than becoming something you have to maintain.
Previewing and saving
On a wide screen the preview sits beside the editor. On a smaller one, choose Preview page. Changes to the theme, blocks and block settings go live only when you choose Save page. Reset throws away changes you haven't saved.
Owners and admins can edit the page. Other members can open it but can't edit it.
Changing your address
On the Address tab, choose Change address…, type the new address, tick the box to confirm you understand, then choose Change address.
- Owner only. Admins can edit everything else about the page, but not the address.
- Once every 30 days. After a change, it locks for a month.
- The old address points to the new one for 90 days, while the band is public. Visitors who open your band page or its live page at the old address are taken to the new one, and no other band can claim the old address in that time. Old links to a public playlist or release, and saved links into the app, stop working straight away. Share links keep working.
- An address is 3 to 50 lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, and starts and ends with a letter or number.
- Some words are reserved because they collide with parts of the site, and will be refused.
Being found
Public bands are listed on Explore and in the site's sitemap. Each page carries the tags search engines and social apps read, with a preview image made for your band, so a link pasted into a message shows a proper preview and title rather than a bare URL. The description comes from your band profile.
Tips
They carry the header block and the backdrop option. A page with neither looks unfinished however good the music is. Both are in Band Profile.
You do not need to switch anything on before a public stream — the banner shows up only while you are broadcasting. Visitors can choose Notify me when they go live on your page to get an email next time. See Live.
