Guide

Rules

Establish clear guidelines for your band. Define expectations, organize them with drag-and-drop, and track every change over time.

Overview

Band rules keep everyone on the same page. Whether it's rehearsal expectations, recording standards, or creative guidelines, having them written down prevents misunderstandings and keeps your band running smoothly.

Define

Organize

Drag-and-drop reordering to prioritize what matters most.

Discuss

Creating Rules

Each rule has a title and a description. Descriptions support markdown formatting so you can structure your guidelines clearly.

Rule Details

  • Title: A short, descriptive name for the rule (e.g., "Rehearsal Attendance")
  • Description: Detailed explanation with markdown support

Formatting Hints

  • Bold: Wrap text with **double asterisks**
  • Italic: Wrap text with *single asterisks*
  • Lists: Start lines with - or 1. for bullet or numbered lists

Rule Templates

Get started quickly with pre-built templates. Select multiple templates at once to add them all in a single action.

Organizing Rules

Arrange your rules in the order that makes sense for your band.

Drag-and-Drop Reordering

Grab the handle on any rule and drag it to a new position. The order is saved automatically and persisted for all band members.

Rule History

Every edit to a rule is tracked. See who changed what and when.

What's Tracked

  • Title and description changes
  • Who made the change and when
  • View the full timeline of edits for any rule

Comments & Discussion

Discuss rules with your bandmates using threaded comments.

Threaded Comments

Each rule has its own comment thread. Discuss proposed changes, ask questions, or suggest improvements.

Context Preserved

Comments stay attached to the rule they're about. No more searching through chat to find that discussion about rehearsal policies.

Archive & Restore

Rules you no longer need can be archived instead of deleted outright.

Managing Archived Rules

  • Archive: Remove a rule from the active list without losing it
  • Restore: Bring an archived rule back to the active list at any time
  • Delete: Permanently remove a rule when it's no longer needed
