Jam Chart

The Jam Chart puts every version of a song on one timeline, so you can see how it has changed and find the good ones again.

Opening it

Open a song from Tracks. In its info panel, the Jam Chart summary shows how often you've played it. Choose Open timeline.

What counts as a version

  • A section of a recording that you've linked to the song.
  • A whole recording linked to the song.
  • The song as played at a show, using the show's recording.

The timeline

Each dot is one version, placed by date and length and coloured by where it was recorded: rehearsal, live, studio, home or remote. Click a dot to play it.

Above the timeline you'll see:

  • how many times you've played the song;
  • the longest version;
  • when you last played it;
  • how many versions are flagged.

Recordings without a "recorded on" date are listed under Date unknown. Set the date there and they move onto the timeline.

Flagging the best versions

Choose the star next to a version, then Flag as a jam chart version. Add a line on why that one stands out if you like. Several versions can be flagged, and everyone sees who flagged them.

Comparing two versions

When a song has at least two versions, choose Compare A/B. Pick one version for A and another for B, then switch between them. Only one plays at a time.

Songs you haven't played in a while

The Repertoire tab on your band's Activity page lists the songs gathering dust, the most played ones and the longest jams. Switch between all time, the last 90 days and the last year.
