Stay informed about everything happening in your band: new uploads, comments, member changes, and more.

Overview

Activities are automatically logged whenever something meaningful happens in your band. This creates a timeline of events that helps everyone stay in the loop, even if they weren't online when something happened.

All Activity Types

The complete reference, grouped by category — the same categories the activity feed lets you filter by. The middle column is the exact phrase the feed shows next to a bandmate's name.

Recordings
recording_created	uploaded a recording	An upload finished and the recording joined the band library.
recording_updated	updated a recording	The recording's name, notes, track link, or other details changed.
recording_published	published a recording	The recording moved into published status.
recording_deleted	deleted a recording	The recording was removed from the band.
Tracks
track_created	created a track	A new track was started.
track_updated	updated a track	Track details such as title, status, key, or tempo were edited.
track_deleted	deleted a track	The track was removed from the band.
Ideas
idea_created	submitted an idea	A new idea was posted to the idea board.
idea_updated	updated an idea	The idea was edited.
idea_deleted	deleted an idea	The idea was removed.
Comments
comment_added	added a comment	A top-level comment on a recording, track, or idea.
comment_reply	replied to a comment	A reply posted underneath an existing comment.
timestamped_comment	added a timestamped comment	A comment pinned to a specific moment on a track.
comment_updated	edited a comment	An existing comment was changed.
comment_deleted	deleted a comment	A comment was removed.
Reactions
reaction_added	added a reaction	Someone reacted to a comment, recording, idea, track, or chat message. The feed names the reaction.
reaction_removed	removed a reaction	A reaction was taken back.
Bookmarks
bookmark_added	bookmarked	A recording, track, or idea was bookmarked.
bookmark_removed	removed bookmark	The bookmark was cleared.
Members
member_joined	joined the band	A membership was created — by accepting an invite or by being added.
member_left	left the band	A member left of their own accord.
member_removed	was removed from the band	An owner or admin removed the member.
member_role_changed	role was changed	The feed shows the old role and the new one.
placeholder_created	added a placeholder	A stand-in was created for a bandmate who has not signed up yet.
placeholder_claimed	claimed a placeholder	A real account took over a stand-in and inherited its history.
placeholder_deleted	removed a placeholder	The stand-in was deleted.
Invitations
invitation_sent	sent an invitation	An invite went out by email or link.
invitation_accepted	accepted an invitation	The recipient took up the invite.
Events
event_created	scheduled an event	A rehearsal, gig, session, or other event was added to the calendar.
event_updated	updated an event	The title, description, times, location, or status changed.
event_cancelled	cancelled an event	The event's status moved to cancelled. Events are cancelled, not deleted.
rsvp_updated	updated RSVP	Someone answered — or changed their answer to — an event.
show_question_asked	asked the band a question	Someone asked the band a question or started a poll on a show. The feed quotes the question and names the show.
show_plan_locked	locked the set	A show's planned set was locked — votes and suggestions are closed.
show_debrief_open	opened the debrief	Someone pressed Mark as played on a show, so the band can write the debrief and rate the songs. Once per show; a show that reaches the archive on its own sends nothing.
Setlists
setlist_created	created a setlist	A new setlist was started.
setlist_updated	updated a setlist	The setlist was edited or its status changed.
setlist_deleted	deleted a setlist	The setlist was removed.
Playlists
playlist_created	created a playlist	A new playlist was started.
playlist_deleted	deleted a playlist	The playlist was removed.
Rules
rule_created	added a band rule	A rule was added to the band agreement.
rule_deleted	deleted a band rule	A rule was removed.
References
reference_created	added a reference	A link was saved to the band reference library.
reference_deleted	deleted a reference	A saved link was removed.
Media
media_uploaded	added a photo	An image was uploaded to the band gallery.
media_deleted	deleted a photo	A gallery image was removed.
Releases
release_created	created a release	A single, EP, or album was started.
release_updated	updated a release	Release details or its track list changed.
release_published	published a release	The release went out.
release_deleted	deleted a release	The release was removed.
Live
live_started	went live	A bandmate started a live session. There is deliberately no matching "ended" entry — a stream ending is a state change the live page already shows, not feed news.
Goals
goal_created	created a goal	A personal or band goal was set.
goal_completed	completed a goal	A goal reached its target.
goal_deleted	deleted a goal	A goal was removed.
Shares
share_created	created a share link	A guest review link was generated.
share_accessed	accessed a share	A signed-in bandmate opened a share link. Anonymous visits are not logged.
Chat
message_sent	sent a message	A new root message was posted in band chat.
Settings
settings_updated	updated band settings	The band's name, description, avatar, cover, timezone, or a preference changed.

Note: the activity feed shows everything the band does, your own actions included. Notifications are the filtered view — they skip your own activity and honour the per-category toggles below. Automatic system messages in chat are never logged.

Waveform Markers

When viewing a recording, you can place markers directly on the waveform at specific timestamps. Each marker type has a specific purpose.

Idea

Mark creative suggestions, new arrangement ideas, or potential changes to explore.

Issue

Flag problems that need attention - timing issues, wrong notes, audio glitches.

Highlight

Mark great moments worth keeping — standout riffs and memorable performances.

Section

Denote song structure - intro, verse, chorus, bridge, outro, solo sections.

Comment

General feedback that doesn't fit other categories - observations, questions, notes.

Placing a marker

Open the comments panel while the recording is loaded. The composer already offers the current playback position — at 1:23 — with the box ticked.
To pin an exact moment instead, hover the pin rail under the waveform and click the + Comment at… ghost pin. That freezes the timestamp so playback can keep rolling while you type.
Pick the marker type — Comment, Idea, Issue, or Highlight — then post. Untick the timestamp box for a general comment with no marker.

Markers appear on the waveform straight away; click one to jump playback to it. The composer offers four of the five types — Section markers render on the waveform and in the legend, but are not created from here.

Notifications

The notification bell in the header shows a count of recent activities. Click it to see a quick summary without leaving your current page.

What generates notifications?

Six categories, each with its own on/off switch in the bell's preferences. Your own actions never notify you.

Recordings — uploads, edits, publishes, and deletions
Comments — every comment, reply, timestamped comment, edit, and deletion
Ideas — ideas created, updated, and deleted
Events — scheduled, updated, cancelled, RSVP changes, and questions, locked sets and opened debriefs on shows
Members — joins, departures, removals, role changes, and invitations
Live — someone went live. This is the one category that also emails the rest of the band, at most once per band per hour. Switching the toggle off stops both the bell and the email.

Activity outside those six — releases, goals, setlists, playlists, shares and the rest — still reaches the bell; it has no toggle of its own.

Tips for Staying Engaged

Check Activity Regularly

Make it a habit to check the activity feed when you log in. It's the fastest way to catch up on what your bandmates have been working on.

Leave Meaningful Feedback

When you comment on recordings, use specific markers to indicate whether you're suggesting an idea, flagging an issue, or highlighting something great.

Organize with Tracks

Group related recordings into tracks. This makes it easier to track progress and keeps activities organized by project.
