Getting started
Most bands are set up in a few minutes. Here's the usual order.
1.Create your account
Sign up with your email address, then open the link we send you. You'll land on your overview, where your bands will appear.
2.Create your band, or join one
If a bandmate has already invited you, the invite is waiting on your overview. Choose Join.
To start a new band, choose Create Your First Band. Give it a name and an address (bandjams.com/your-band). You can add a logo, a short description and up to five bandmates' email addresses now, or do it later.
3.Invite your bandmates
On the Members page, choose Invite. You can send an invite by email, or make an invite link to paste into your group chat. A link can be single-use or shared, and it expires after the number of days you choose. New people join as members. You can make someone an admin afterwards.
4.Add your first recording
Go to Recordings and choose Upload Recording. Drop in a file from your interface or phone, or use Record Audio to record in the browser. A whole rehearsal in one file is fine.
5.Split it into songs
Open the recording and turn on Edit Mode. Drag across the waveform where a song starts and ends, then pick the song or create a new one. Each song keeps a history of every recording it appears in.
6.Leave a note
Play the recording and add a comment. With the time box ticked, it's pinned to that moment, so everyone can jump straight to it.
