Musician Tools

Built-in tools for practice and creativity. Tune your instrument, keep time, explore music theory, compose chord progressions, and get real-time improvisation suggestions.

Overview

Band Jams includes five musician tools accessible from the Tools page. Each tool is designed to support your practice sessions and creative workflow without leaving the app.

Tuner

Pitch detection and reference tones for accurate tuning.

Metronome

Tempo and rhythm practice with visual beat feedback.

Music Theory

Chords, scales, and circle of fifths explorer.

Chord Composer

Build and export chord progressions with intelligent suggestions.

Improviser

Live chord detection and scale suggestions from your microphone.

Tuner

A chromatic tuner with two modes: mic-based pitch detection and a reference tone generator.

Tuner Mode

Uses your microphone to detect the pitch of your instrument in real time. Color-coded feedback shows whether you are in tune: green for in tune, yellow for close, and red for off.

Tone Generator

Play reference tones to tune by ear. Choose between sine wave (pure tone) or guitar waveform (with harmonics) for a more natural sound.

Subdivisions & Swing

Choose between quarter, eighth, sixteenth, and triplet subdivisions. For eighth-note subdivisions, adjust the swing feel to add groove.
